The Queen Alexandra Foundation Pioneer Club is made up of former patients, staff and volunteers of the Queen Alexandra Centre. Extensive archives about the Centre's early days (from 1924 to present) have been catalogued and many of our pioneers can be seen in photos taken decades ago!
A Pioneer Club Planning Committee (pictured above) was established in the Spring of 2002 and is made up of members of the Pioneer Club. The goals of this small group are to raise awareness of the Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children, educate the public about new roles and changes in children's healthcare and to take part in fundraising for equipment and program needs. The Planning Committee also helps organize Pioneer Club events. There are about two Pioneer Club events a year. Pioneers are reunited at these events and also brought up to date on the current activities of the Queen Alexandra Foundation. If you are a former patient, staff member or volunteer and would like to attend our next Pioneer event or would like more information about our Pioneer Club, please contact Sharon Miller at the QA Foundation at (250) 721-6723.
